PDX Urban Fly Fishing Scouting session with Marc Fryt

​Ever wonder where to fly fish in downtown Portland? Join Current Flow State and Marc Fryt, the author of "The Guide to Urban Fly Fishing" for session where we scout out spots to fish around downtown Portland.

​We'll visit 3-4 spots, discuss key water features and where fish might hold, technique and tactics to reach them, and how to present flies to feed them. At around noon we'll break and hit up a food cart pod to feed ourselves.

​While all of the spots will be accessible by bike or public transit, we recommend driving or joining a car pool to move quickly from spot to spot.

​Every participant will receive a copy of Fryt's book, "The Guide to Urban Fly Fishing" ($25 value), which contains even more useful information about fly fishing close to home. Read interview with Marc on Current Flow State to learn more about his approach to fly fishing in cities.

​Starting location will be shared closer to the event date, along with a packing list and itinerary.
