Mindex is an all original electronic composer whose signature bass production combines elements of jazz, hip-hop, classical and middle eastern music with futuristic sound design. His polished engineering prowess allows him to draw every shape, color and movement of the sonic experience, which overflows with melodic patterns, textured layers, and detailed automations of modern synthesizers and effects. His painstaking and careful articulations mold a four dimensional topography for the mind to digest. In the last few years, that recognizable Mindex sound has proven to shake dance floors with heavy basses and memorable melodies.
"I am here to immerse myself in the captivating exploration of the psychological and experiential dimensions of music. Crafting sonic compositions from sine waves, zeroes and ones, translated through the medium of air vibrations, establishes a unique connection between the artist's conceptualized emotion or idea and the listener's subjective experience. The process of transmitting these coded messages, whether through the internet or a sound system, resonating with ear drums, unfolds as a truly captivating phenomenon. Understory is an event series rooted in sound system culture & underground bass music. Celebrating deep, abstract sounds to alchemize the shadows that allow a nourishing environment underneath the sun loving canopy trees. In a food forest, the understory is the layer of vegetation growing beneath the main canopy that thrive in filtered or dappled light. Lovingly curated by a Maui-grown, kanaka maoli (indigenous Hawaiian) mother.
An ambrosia of Maui's talented movers, shakers and artists are showcased throughout the entire event featuring:
Fire flow arts, pole performances, live painting, community workshops (hosted in the bell tent), craft/food vendors, farm to table food/drink and gong fu tea service.

You will receive the location and directions to our farm in Haiku, Maui, with your ticket purchase. Pre-order your tickets and car passes, as we only have a limited quantity available. There is no alcohol allowed on this property and this will be strictly enforced. Please do not bring pets to the land. Please plan to carpool with friends so you can arrive early and give yourself ample time to explore our orchards and gardens. Fresh and filtered drinking water is available, and we prefer you to bring your own vessel. This event is for Adults Only, 18+ with No re-entry (meaning you cannot come and go) and no entry after 8pm so please arrive before then. We dance in the Rain or Shine.
