Open-Water Coaching with Triple Crown Swimmer Miquel Sunyer | fundcraft
Spend Friday afternoon in the Mediterranean with someone who knows open-water swimming intimately.
Join fundcraft and fellow unlock VC summit attendees at Barceloneta Beach for a session led by Miquel Sunyer, who has completed the Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming.
Across 90 minutes, you’ll learn practical ways to improve your swimming, build confidence in open water and put those skills into practice on a guided swim.
The experience
We’ll begin on the beach and in the shallows with a welcome, safety briefing and coaching on breathing, body position and stroke technique.
Then we’ll head into the sea for a guided group swim, with feedback from Miquel and opportunities to regroup, rest and enjoy the surroundings. The route and pace will be adapted to the group and conditions.
We’ll finish with a cool-down back on the beach. Every participant will receive a fundcraft swim cap to take home.
Who it’s for
Confident swimmers who would like to develop their open-water skills, whether you’re new to sea swimming or already enjoy it regularly.
You should be comfortable swimming 500m independently, unaided. This is not a learn-to-swim lesson. If you’re unsure whether the session suits your experience, please contact us before registering.

Prefer to swim in a wetsuit?
Everyone’s comfort in the water is different. If you’d like a wetsuit, we can help arrange one. Please email ellie.green@fundcraft.lu in advance so we can coordinate availability and sizing.
The details
When: Friday 9 October 2026, 14:00–15:30 CEST. Please arrive at 13:45.
Where: Barceloneta Beach, Barcelona.
Meeting point: Lifeguard tower at Barceloneta Beach. We’ll share the exact map pin with confirmed participants before the session.
Bring: Swimwear, goggles, a towel, sun protection, water and warm clothes for afterwards.
Conditions: The swim is subject to suitable weather and sea conditions. Any changes will be communicated to registered participants.
