Wacousta Cooperative Preschool – Ribbon Cutting Expansion!
Join us as Wacousta Cooperative Preschool celebrates the grand opening of its newly expanded facility — a milestone more than 50 years in the making.
Founded in 1972 by parents who believed in building community together, Wacousta Co-Op has long been a cornerstone of early childhood education in the greater Wacousta area. Today, that founding spirit drives a major expansion: 33 new child care slots, bringing total capacity to 72 children and more than doubling the preschool's reach in a region facing a 4:1 child-to-slot ratio.
What to expect:
Official ribbon cutting ceremony
Tours of the new facility
Remarks from community and partner leaders
Light refreshments and networking
Made possible through partnerships with Grand Ledge Public Schools, Eaton RESA's Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP), and the Capital Area Child Care Coalition.
