About Event

Many international doctors finish the AMC exams but still find the next step unclear. The Pre-Employment Structured Clinical Interview (PESCI) is often the missing link — the point where you prove you’re ready to practise safely in an Australian general practice setting.

In this session, Dr Roman Pathak (GP & Medical Educator) will walk you through what PESCI really involves, how it fits into the registration process, and how to prepare effectively — whether you’re applying through RACGP, IME or ACRRM.

This webinar is practical, focused, and designed for IMGs who want to start working in general practice with confidence.

In this session, we’ll cover:

• What PESCI actually is and why it matters for Limited and Provisional Registration

• When you need to sit a PESCI and when you can be exempt

• The key differences between RACGP, IME and ACRRM PESCIs — formats, fees, and timelines

• The documents you’ll need and the steps to apply

• What the clinical interview assesses and how to perform well in each domain

• How to handle failed attempts and demonstrate improvement

• Tips to align your answers with Australian standards and patient expectations

• How long a PESCI remains valid and how to use one result across roles

• A realistic preparation plan and where most IMGs go wrong
