About Event

BlueYard and Point Nine would like to invite you to a gathering of The Lisbon Risk Club, on the evening of Tuesday, March 3. In an intimate setting of a maximum of 20 people, we will discuss and debate the key risks of our time, over drinks and dinner in a Jeffersonian format. However, instead of being fearful and focusing on mitigating risks - we will collectively discuss and develop strategies of how to go risk on in these ultra-volatile times—volatility and risks as opportunities, not threats. We will document & share our joint strategies after the session.

Topics we will (attempt to) cover include:

  • Congratulations, the multi-polar world you ordered is here. What now?

    • Now that the gloves are off: what do you expect to unfold in 2026 and beyond? In geopolitics, economic and kinetic warfare, societies. How far are we in this transition to a new system?

    • Who will be the winners and losers of this new system?

    • How will old and new alliances evolve?

    • What surprising development do you see happening that most people do not?

    • Is there anything positive you can read into the situation? Are we right to be worried or is it just another Tuesday evening in history?

    • What is a long and short trade you would make based on these scenarios?

    • How are you preparing your companies and funds for this new world order

  • It looks like we have to wait for AGI a little longer, and brace for it to cause turmoil in labour markets sooner

    • Where are we in the race of AI-empowerment vs replacement of labour?

    • What new economies and jobs will AI enable that we can’t imagine today?

    • If AI eats GDP and GDP is increasingly owned / produced by capital - how do we avoid massive social and political turmoil? What policies would you implement?

    • What is a long and short trade you would make based on your view in respect to AI impact on markets

  • Europe usually has been bad in good times and good in bad times. These are very bad times - but what is the path to Europe to emerge stronger / greater. Is this all just a blessing in disguise?

    • Key economic capacities, skills and trade lanes

    • Defense and deterrence

    • State finances

    • Bureaucracy

    • States’ capacity to function given political turmoil and shifts

    • What policies would you implement?

    • What is a long short trade you would make in respect to Europe EU

With the occasional palate cleanser questions such as:

  • Would you let an AI pick your life partner if it could guarantee a 99% compatibility rate? Why or why not?

  • You might soon have the choice to be able to live forever. Would you like to? Why, why not?

  • If you were to build a society from scratch, what existing norm would you abandon?

  • Are there certain truths we can know without evidence?
