A SXSW Evening w/ Comedian Brent Pella
Join us for an evening of connection, music, and community as comedian Brent Pella shares updates on an exciting feature film currently being produced right here in Austin.
The film is a psychedelic comedy set at a remote music festival — think Superbad at Burning Man — and it aims to capture the magic, chaos, and transformation that happens inside festival culture. To bring the story to life, Brent and the team are actually producing a real music festival in Austin this April (April 16–19), which will serve as the backdrop for the movie.
The project has been gaining incredible momentum thanks to the support of the Austin creative community. As production approaches, there are many opportunities for local artists, builders, performers, and festival lovers to be part of bringing this vision to life.
During the evening, Brent and the team will share:
The backstory and inspiration behind the film
The mission and purpose of the project within the Austin community
Updates on collaborators, artists, and festival partners involved
Festival infrastructure and creative resources still needed
Opportunities to participate during the upcoming festival and film shoot
