Universal Design for Learning: Creating Inclusive Classrooms For Every Learner
This Saturday we explore practical strategies for designing flexible, engaging, and accessible learning experiences that help all students succeed.
In today's diverse classrooms, students learn in different ways, bring unique strengths, and face varying challenges. This interactive workshop introduces educators to the principles of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and demonstrates how to proactively design instruction that meets the needs of all learners.
Participants will explore the three core UDL principles: engagement, representation, and action & expression, while discovering practical tools and strategies that can be immediately applied in the classroom. Through real-world examples, collaborative activities, and lesson design opportunities, teachers will learn how to remove barriers to learning, increase student participation, and create equitable pathways to success.
By the end of the workshop, educators will be equipped to design more inclusive learning environments that empower every student to access, engage with, and demonstrate their learning effectively.
