Brookview VS Aldergrove Battle

​Connect with other youth dancers and parents in the city with a friendly battle between Brookview and Aldergrove breaking classes.

​Everyone will be able to participate in the cypher, but the teams for the battle will be selected from those who volunteer to battle.

​Schedule

• ​7:00 - Introduction & explanation (5 min)

  • ​Warm up (10 min)

  • ​5v5 team battle (10 min)

  • ​1v1 battle (3 rounds)

• ​7:30 - Cypher (freestyle dance for all students) (30 min)

​What's a battle?

​A breaking battle is when dancers take turns trying to one-up and out-do their opponents. It is freestyle to music that is not decided on before hand, and often judged by the spectators or a panel of judges.

​This battle will not be judged. The goal is to experience the battle to gain confidence and allow the dancers to see other dancers.
