β€‹πŸ•‘: Doors open at 7:00 PM

Is morality something we discover, like the laws of physics? Or is it something we make up, like the rules of chess?

Join us at Pour & Ponder, a roving lecture-in-a-bar series, as we grapple with philosophical questions about the very foundations of right and wrong.

What to expect

  • 45-minute keynote.

  • Curated Q&A & discussion. Share your β€œaha” moments and trade insights with other guests.

  • Drinks. Kick back with a glass of wine or beer, or opt for a non-alcoholic optionβ€”tea, coffee, and soft drinks available.

Our lead speaker and discussant will be Neil Mehta, Professor of Philosophy at the National University of Singapore. He likes to think about the nature of consciousness, perception, morality, and knowledge. When he is not doing that, he is probably playing board games or eating peanut butter.
