βποΈ: Friday, 19th Dec 2025
βπ‘: Doors open at 7:00 PM
βπ: Alma House Lobby Lounge
βIs morality something we discover, like the laws of physics? Or is it something we make up, like the rules of chess?
βJoin us at Pour & Ponder, a roving lecture-in-a-bar series, as we grapple with philosophical questions about the very foundations of right and wrong.
βWhat to expect
β45-minute keynote.
βCurated Q&A & discussion. Share your βahaβ moments and trade insights with other guests.
βDrinks. Kick back with a glass of wine or beer, or opt for a non-alcoholic optionβtea, coffee, and soft drinks available.
βOur lead speaker and discussant will be Neil Mehta, Professor of Philosophy at the National University of Singapore. He likes to think about the nature of consciousness, perception, morality, and knowledge. When he is not doing that, he is probably playing board games or eating peanut butter.
