Personality-based tools, quizzes, and frameworks have become increasingly popular as part of leadership training, corporate culture initiatives, and coaching and mentoring. The Enneagram is more powerful than any of them. In fact, it's not really a personality typology at all. Personality tests try to tell you who you are, and naturally, many of us resist being "put in a box." The Enneagram, by contrast, shows you the box that you're already in, and gives you a way out of the box. Because growth isn't taking the best advantage of your personality; it's moving beyond the limits that our personalities impose on us. In this session, I'll walk through how the Enneagram framework is structured, how it's affected my own growth, and how I've used it in coaching and management. Given the limited time, I'll only give the briefest walk through of the types, but this session should give you greater context when you do study more about the aspects of each type, whether that is with me or through another source.
