We are thrilled to welcome Lucy Dunn, Westminster Correspondent for STV. A qualified doctor from Glasgow turned Westminster journalist, Lucy previously served as a political correspondent at The Spectator. She is widely recognized as one of the most perceptive commentators on Scottish politics and its implications for the UK as a whole.
Lucy specialises in Scottish political affairs and constitutional policy. She brings a sharp, grounded, and fiercely independent perspective to contemporary Scottish governance. Explaining how the distant bureaucratic world of Holyrood impacts everyday Scots.
Lucy will be discussing Deep Fried Devolution. She’ll explore why Holyrood has failed to deliver on its promises, unpacking twenty-five years of administrative bloat, declining public services and political stagnation. Her talk will provide a thoughtful critique of the Holyrood consensus and the unintended consequences of devolution.
With all the talk about devolution and the future of the Union, this is a perfect interested in constitutional reform, Scottish politics, and the future of the Union.

Open to parliamentary staffers, journos, SpAds, consultants, students, and even the odd civil servant, TNGs are a place to network, chat, and relax. Whatever your politics, we just like interesting ideas and we hope you do too. It’s for under-35s, it’s informal, and we normally end up at the Marquis of Granby.
