​Blue carbon ecosystems are powerful tools for climate mitigation and adaptation as well as deeply important to coastal community livelihoods and biodiversity. Yet there remain challenges to scaling blue carbon ecosystem restoration and conservation from multiple angles including policy and regulations, investor risk, expense and timeline of project development, and more. This session will include announcements of tangible action from governments and the private sector to scale blue carbon ecosystem conservation and restoration and explore next steps.
