World Refugee Day 2026

​Join us for World Refugee Day 2026 at the University of Auckland as we come together to reflect on this year's theme, "From Surviving to Thriving."

​This event will explore the strength, resilience, and mental wellbeing of refugee communities in Aotearoa. Through guest speakers, lived experiences, and community discussion, we will highlight the challenges refugees face, celebrate their contributions, and promote understanding, inclusion, and belonging.

​The programme will feature speakers from refugee-background communities, mental health and wellbeing professionals, and community organisations working to support refugee settlement and flourishing in Aotearoa New Zealand.
