About Event

Before you spend years, money, and enormous emotional energy pursuing residency in the United States, there is one question worth answering first:

Is the US actually right for you?

Tomorrow, we start there.

Then we get practical.

How do you introduce yourself when an attending, researcher, program director, or potential mentor asks:

“Tell me about yourself.”

Most students waste that moment reciting their CV.

We will work on turning it into something people actually remember.

And then I’ll open something I have wanted to build for a long time:

The Medical Research Alliance.

A community designed to help motivated medical students move from “I want to do research” to actually finding collaborators, building projects, learning how research works, and producing meaningful work together.

If you are seriously considering the United States—or simply trying to understand whether it belongs in your future—come.

You may leave with a clearer roadmap.

You may also leave realizing that the roadmap you were following was never yours.

Both outcomes are valuable.

What we’ll cover

  1. Is residency in the US right for you?
Not “Can you do it?” but whether the investment, lifestyle, career path, uncertainty, and opportunities fit what you actually want.

  2. How to introduce yourself so people remember you
A practical framework for answering “Tell me about yourself” without sounding rehearsed, generic, or like you are reading your CV aloud.

  3. What actually matters early in the US journey
Where students commonly waste time, what deserves attention first, and how to think about USMLE, research, mentorship, networking, and US clinical experience strategically.

  4. Grand opening: The Medical Research Alliance
I’ll introduce the vision, explain how it will work, and discuss how students can begin finding collaborators and turning research curiosity into real projects.

Who should attend
Medical students, graduates, and young physicians who are considering US residency, preparing for it, or still deciding whether the US is the right destination.

You do not need to have started USMLE.

In fact, if you are still undecided, this session may be even more useful.
