Once Upon A Sensory Play - The Nutcracker
Step into a magical world of sugarplums, toy soldiers, and holiday wonder!
Join The Wonders of Sensory Play for Chapter 7 of our Once Upon a Sensory Play enrichment series as we bring The Nutcracker to life!
We’ll begin with a magical storytime before inviting little learners to explore 8 hands-on sensory stations inspired by the enchanting world of The Nutcracker.
From the Land of Sweets to imaginative winter wonderlands, children will explore textures, colors, patterns, counting, and creative play through this classic holiday adventure!
What Will We Learn?
Our stations will encourage:
Early math through patterns, counting, and sorting
Fine motor skills through hands-on sensory exploration
Creativity, art, and imaginative storytelling
Color recognition and matching
Language development and story comprehension
Problem-solving and independent exploration
The Learning Continues at Home!
Each child will take home a special Nutcracker-inspired storybook chapter keepsake to add to their Once Upon a Sensory Play collection!
Parents will also receive a Take-Home Learning Guide explaining the learning behind our sensory stations and offering simple ways to extend the experience at home.
Ages: Designed for 3–6 years. Children under 3 are welcome if they can participate in our short group storytime. Stations may contain small loose parts and require active caregiver supervision.
