🌸 Project Bindu: Menstrual Health & Hygiene Awareness Drive
🌸 Sanitary Pads Distribution Drive
Give the Gift of Dignity
Organised by
Sanskriti Youth Foundation
Menstrual hygiene is a fundamental component of women’s health, dignity, and human rights. Despite this, a significant proportion of women and adolescent girls in vulnerable communities continue to face limited or no access to safe and affordable menstrual hygiene products. This gap not only affects physical health but also contributes to social stigma, absenteeism from work or education, and loss of self-worth.
Flood-affected and economically distressed communities are particularly vulnerable, where basic hygiene needs often take a back seat to survival. Recognising this critical issue, Sanskriti Youth Foundation is organising a targeted Sanitary Pads Distribution Drive to ensure that women in these communities can manage menstruation safely, hygienically, and with dignity.
About the Initiative
The Sanitary Pads Distribution Drive – “Give the Gift of Dignity” is a community-based intervention aimed at:
Providing free sanitary pads to women and adolescent girls
Creating awareness about menstrual hygiene practices
Normalising conversations around menstruation
Reducing stigma, shame, and misinformation related to periods
This initiative aligns with national priorities on women’s health, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, and Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 3 & SDG 5).
