Your Body Is Not Against You
An Orē Women's Immersion Day — New York City
You've felt it. The week you're unstoppable and the week you can barely get off the couch. The exhaustion that sleep doesn't fix. The sense that your body is doing something you don't have the language for yet.
This day gives you the language. And more than that — it gives you the felt experience of coming home to yourself.
We built this afternoon around one idea: your body is not against you. It's been speaking a language nobody translated. This is the translation.
Over one carefully designed afternoon in New York City, up to 30 women move through five experiences, each one building on the last.
A pelvic floor practice that reframes everything you thought you knew about your core — practical, embodied, and long overdue.
A panel conversation with five women who speak to the female body from completely different angles. Chelsea Leyland, founder of Looni and advocate for women's hormonal health and body literacy. Laurence Agénor, physiotherapist and pelvic floor specialist. Sara Silverstein, somatic practitioner and breathwork facilitator. Saher Hussaini, licensed acupuncturist, clinical herbalist, and founder of SYI Acupuncture. And your host, Vera Kasper, hormone health specialist and co-founder of Orē Retreats. Five lenses, one honest conversation, and space for the questions you've never quite known where to ask.
Over one carefully designed afternoon, we take you through an arc from your head into your body, and into deep rest.
You arrive into a sensory welcome: refreshments, scent, a moment to leave the week behind before anything begins.
A Pilates-informed, pelvic floor attuned movement practice with Laurence Agénor opens the body from the inside out. Not fitness — foundation.
Then the panel. Chelsea, Laurence, Sara, Saher, and Vera in honest conversation about the female body from four completely different angles: hormones, physical therapy, somatic pleasure work, and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Open questions woven throughout. The talk you'll be thinking about for weeks.
A somatic and sensual breathwork practice with Sara: an invitation back into the body's full intelligence, not just its symptoms.
And then the close. A yoga nidra with acupuncture led by Saher and Vera. Needles in, Vera's voice guiding you into deep rest. The moment everything settles somewhere deeper than your notes.
Afterwards, time to linger, light refreshments, conversation, and space to let the afternoon land in whatever way it needs to.
