About Event

Most first-time buyers find a business they love, then realize they don't know how they're going to finance the acquisition.

This session fixes that.

Javier Jorge has spent 15 years in SBA lending and sits on the board of NAGGL, the national trade association for SBA lenders. He'll walk you through how SBA loans actually work for acquisitions, what has changed in the program, and what a lender needs from you before you sign an LOI.

Who this is for
Searchers, first-time acquirers, and anyone who has wondered whether they could actually buy a business. You don't need a deal under LOI. Earlier is better.

What you'll learn

  • The SBA rules for acquisitions: who qualifies, how much you can borrow, and how the deal gets structured

  • What has changed in the SBA program recently, and what may change next

  • When to talk to a lender (earlier than you think)

  • How lenders decide whether a deal is fundable

  • How to get the best terms, and the pitfalls that cost buyers leverage

Agenda (45 minutes)

  • 25 min: SBA acquisition rules, program updates, and what's ahead

  • 20 min: Live Q&A. Bring your questions, your deal, or your plan that's still forming

Can't make it live? Register anyway and we'll send you the recording!
