ABOUT THE SPEAKERS

Jessica Walker is President and CEO of the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce, where she serves as the leading advocate for more than 125,000 businesses at the heart of New York City's commercial life. Her career has been defined by economic and community impact, from launching Age-Friendly NYC at the New York Academy of Medicine to advising on New York City's job recovery following the 2008 financial crisis at the Partnership for New York City. A Princeton graduate, she serves on the boards of the Javits Center, United Neighborhood Houses, and Pursuit Lending, and has been recognized by City & State's Manhattan Power 100 and Crain's New York Business as a Notable Black Leader.

Dana Getman is a Principal at SHoP Architects, where she has spent nearly 15 years leading complex mixed-use and institutional projects, including Essex Crossing, the East River Waterfront, Steinway Tower, and the National Veterans Resource Center at Syracuse University. She brings a deep expertise in community-centered design, collaborating with clients and local stakeholders, and her current work spans projects in New York, Los Angeles, Vietnam, and U.S. Embassy compounds worldwide. A graduate of Cornell University and Yale University, she has taught architecture studios at both institutions as well as Columbia University, and is actively engaged in civic leadership through the Urban Land Institute and the Municipal Art Society.
