Meet the Hosts:
Boston Impact Initiative (BII) is an impact investment fund and certified Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI). We provide entrepreneurs, cooperatives, and community-owned enterprises with fair and flexible capital, culturally relevant training, and trusted networks, advancing inclusive local economies and building lasting community wealth. We train and support visionary fund managers designing and launching impact funds that drive catalytic capital and resources to their local communities.
Common Future is working to ensure that community-led strategies translate into real economic change. By investing in local leadership, shifting capital flows, and reshaping narratives, our organization is building the foundation for an economy that prioritizes equity, cooperation, and dignity for all. With 24 years of experience working in community with Black, Indigenous, and other leaders of color, we leverage our influence to help decision-makers craft new financial instruments and policies, providing flexible catalytic capital to emerging funds and lending programs for shifting power, and creating spaces for leaders from community-rooted organizations to make decisions on how economic solutions are implemented in their own communities and more.
Mission Driven Finance® is an impact asset management firm dedicated to building a financial system that ensures good businesses have access to sufficient, affordable capital. Built from the ground up with a single purpose—to make it easy to invest in your community—all of their funds and structured products are designed to close financial gaps that will close opportunity gaps. They work with local and national investors to help them create the impact they want and work with businesses and community partners to help them get the capital they need.
