Course Description
For the past two decades, futures thinking has quietly moved from the margins to the mainstream — into policy labs, corporate strategy teams, community organising, design studios, and universities. But most people who encounter it pick up only a few methods, tools, or lenses. They get a sliver of what's possible.
Five Frameworks of Foresight is for practitioners who want the wider map.
Developed from 25 years of applied research, consulting, and teaching across dozens of organisations and contexts, this course walks you through five distinct frameworks — each one a different way of thinking about how futures work can actually work. Not theory for its own sake. Methods you can carry into your context, your organisation, your community.
The frameworks span from historical modes of futures thinking, to experimentation methodologies, to participatory civic engagement, to inner futures, to a model for building anticipatory culture inside institutions. Each one has been shaped in practice. Each one is yours to adapt.
