The Flexibility Paradox: Turning Electric Truck Charging from Grid Bottleneck to Flexible Asset

The electrification of heavy transport is accelerating. But as charging infrastructure scales, it exposes a fundamental tension: flexibility is technically possible, yet commercially underdeveloped and legally complex.

Bringing together perspectives from charging infrastructure, energy services, charging software, and clean energy investment, this discussion will explore what flexibility means in practice.

How can charging and battery systems create value beyond vehicle charging? Which business models are already viable today? And what will it take for flexibility to move from technical potential to a bankable and scalable part of the electric freight ecosystem?

Speakers:

Katharina Beitz, Head of Investor Relations, Vireo

Felix Kiefl, Head of Product, Delta Charge

Annemarie de Jong, Managing Director, Vattenfall Smarter Living

Maren Rehnelt, Managing Director, Evailable

Moderated by Doreen Rietentiet, Founder & CEO, Elevate2Impact
