Berlin Local Hub: Solopreneur Series #3 - Cringe-Free: How to Be a Real Human in Your Professional Life
This session is part of a workshop series and peer community for Learning & Development entrepreneurs who want to build focused, differentiated, and sustainable businesses.
Everyone says that personal branding is key for your success as a solopreneur. Only a few people enjoy doing it, and that can be for several reasons.
"Selling" feels odd. "Sharing" beyond professional content feels cringe. "Owning our story" feels like a cheap self-help book line.
And the reason behind it?
We have no strategy for what we want to share to become relatable. So we take the safe route — we share rarely and only what's relevant for business.
In this session, we will explore how this process can be fun and actually start bringing you real connections. We will start owning our story.
You’ll walk away with:
Inspiration and direction to take your personal branding to the next level
Connections with your L&D peers who are experiencing cringe as well
You’ll leave behind:
Cringe :) and the ambiguity about what is worth sharing when you are building your personal story

Your hosts:
Anna Reger, Solopreneur & Mentor
Anna was laid off a year ago, and it felt terrible at first. Until she dropped the old narrative that defined her worth by her job and started truly owning her story. It’s non linear, non perfect, and yet it’s hers.
Today, she runs her own one woman show, Pollo Digital, where she works as a researcher, facilitator and mentor with companies and individuals. She also runs a community called “Laid Off & Fabulous”, where she helps people navigate the messy reality of being laid off, from legal and tax questions to visibility, confidence and finding their next step.
She’s a big believer that getting laid off can be the end of a job, without having to be the end of your story.
Logan Ouellette, Solopreneur-in-Progress
Logan is driven by fostering authentic relationships and connecting people with opportunities to thrive. After well over a decade spent building communities, partnerships, and brands for Berlin-based startups and scaleups, he is currently in the process of building his own business, which was the genesis for launching this series of practical sessions on solopreneurship for the L&D Shakers Berlin community.
