Counting Seagulls at the Trillium Park

​​At Seagull Counting Club (SCC), we count seagulls. Bring your pen and paper, sunscreen and sunglasses, friends and family (toddlers welcome), and let's count to 89.

​​​​​​The first person who counts 89 seagulls will be crowned as Counter of the Week (COTW). There is no prize, but you will get unlimited sunlight (until 8:21 pm EDT).

1. ​​​​​​When should I arrive?

   • ​​​​​​You get a head start if you arrive on time, but you can drop in anytime

2. ​​​​​​Can I count one seagull twice?

   • ​​​​​​Yes! Contrary to common beliefs, you CAN and should count one seagull more than once, as long as it changes its position

   • ​​​​​Flying counts as one position

   • ​​​​​Walking counts as one position

   • ​​​​​Standing still counts as one position

3. ​​​​​​What do I need to bring?

   • ​​​​​​Anything that helps you to keep the count. A pen, a phone, etc. Bring water and snacks too.

4. ​​​​​​Why would I want to count seagulls?

   • ​​​​​​Why do we do anything? For FUN. Also for fun.

5. ​​​​​​Will the Seagull Counting Club (SCC) ever get a website?
