Unlock, Express and Empower Your Body

This Saturday, join us for a 3-hour Animal Flow Movement Lab designed to elevate the performance, resilience, and function of your body. Reconnect with primal patterns at the physical foundations of human flourishing—from the ground up.

What Is Animal Flow?

Animal Flow is a journey into human movement. Through Quadrupedal Movement Training (QMT), you'll activate neural pathways and biomechanical efficiencies that build a firm foundation for greater aspirations. This practice is adaptable for all levels, inviting you to explore the power, potential and possibilities of your body.

What to Expect in the Session

Immerse yourself in three hours of exploration of your physicality. You'll progress through a series of movements that build upon each other, culminating in a fun and empowering group flow sequence. From mastering foundational positions to navigating dynamic transitions, you'll challenge your physical and mental limits in a supportive environment. Prepare to sweat, stretch, and move with purpose as you connect deeply with your body.

What to Bring

  • Water

  • Clothes to move in

  • A pen and paper to take notes

The Six Components of Animal Flow

We’ll dive deep into the six components of Animal Flow:

  1. Wrist Mobilizations
Wrist mobilizations are designed to help people with long hours of typing and device use. They will alleviate tension, increase mobility, and reduce the risk of repetitive strain injuries. By ensuring your wrists remain healthy and agile, you'll enhance both your work efficiency and your ability to engage fully in movement practices.

  2. Activations
Activations are progressively challenging isometric holds that are used to awaken the body and encourage it to communicate more effectively (proprioception). These contralateral activations are a great preparation for any type of workout.

  3. Form Specific Stretches
Form Specific Stretches are full-body mobilizations that start from one of our four base positions and dynamically move through various ranges of motion. The aim of FSSs is to promote a balance of flexibility and stability (i.e., mobility) across the body’s joints, muscles and myofascial systems.

  4. Traveling Forms
Traveling Forms are neurodevelopmentally informed movements designed to enhance the function of the “human animal.” Ground locomotion offers unique opportunities to enhance coordination, strength, and cardiovascular conditioning.

  5. Switches & Transitions
Switches and Transitions (S&Ts) are the heart of the Flow in Animal Flow. These dynamic movements can be seamlessly linked to create countless combinations, or used independently as effective drills for strength and conditioning.

  6. Flows
Flows are dynamic sequences that integrate various AF movements to create a fluid and continuous practice. They consist of Switches & Transitions, Form Specific Stretches, and Traveling Forms, blended together to form infinite combinations.
