PMO Hike 4 | Scafell Pike
We’re teaming up with CommonGround for a weekend of camping and hiking in the Lake District, taking on the Scafell Pike summit via the Corridor Route and Piers Gill.
🗓 Friday 5th June — Saturday 6th June
We will be camping on the Friday evening before an early start on Saturday morning. Participants will be required to bring their own tent and camping equipment suitable for mountain conditions. We’ll also be providing selected PMO kit, which we’ll reach out about closer to the date.
Due to the nature of the route and limited group capacity, sign-ups will be reviewed before places are confirmed. We’ll be contacting you all with some questions, you will then be selected directly with final details, timings, campsite information, and kit recommendations.
This route is intended for experienced hikers who are comfortable with scrambling and exposure. The terrain is challenging throughout, featuring steep ascents, sustained scrambling sections, and significant drops in places, widely considered one of the toughest and most exposed routes in the Lake District.
Participants should arrive fully prepared for mountain conditions. Waterproofs, sufficient water, food/snacks, and sun protection are essential. Appropriate footwear with good grip is mandatory due to the rocky, uneven, and exposed terrain.
