AI Spotlight Observatory | Singapore Launch
Understanding AI adoption in financial services through shared knowledge and real-world evidence.
About the event
Artificial intelligence is transforming financial services, from customer interactions and operations to risk management, compliance and supervision.
As applications multiply, financial institutions and regulators face an increasingly important question:
How can we develop a clearer, shared understanding of where AI is being applied, what value it creates, and what we can learn from real-world experience?
Today, AI use cases are described in different ways across organisations and markets.
Similar applications may appear under different labels, while public information about their implementation, maturity and outcomes varies considerably. This makes it difficult to compare experiences, identify broader patterns and build on what others have learned.
AI Spotlight Observatory aims to address this challenge by providing a common language and a growing evidence base for AI applications in financial services.
Developed by the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), in collaboration with CFTE and NayaOne, AI Spotlight Observatory aims to address this challenge through a practical taxonomy of AI use cases and documented examples of real-world implementations.
It provides a common language and a growing evidence base to help organisations understand where AI is being applied, the value it seeks to create and what experience reveals about its use.
During Singapore FinTech Festival 2026, the Singapore launch will bring together regulators, central banks, financial institutions, fintechs, technology providers, industry bodies and researchers for a live demonstration, discussion and networking.
The event is supported by Wise, Innovate Finance, the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) and the Global Financial Innovation Network (GFIN), with Wise hosting at its office at Paya Lebar Quarter, Singapore.
What to expect
The evening will combine a presentation and live demonstration of the Observatory with a discussion bringing together regulatory and industry perspectives.
Participants will have an opportunity to:
Explore the Observatory: See how its taxonomy and implementation examples help structure knowledge about AI applications across financial services.
Exchange perspectives: Discuss what regulators and financial institutions are observing as AI adoption evolves, and where shared evidence could support better understanding.
Shape the next phase: Explore opportunities to apply the taxonomy, contribute documented implementations and participate in further international knowledge exchange.
The event will conclude with a networking reception, offering an opportunity to continue conversations with peers from across the financial ecosystem.
Who should attend?
This invitation-only gathering is designed primarily for:
Regulators, central banks and supervisors interested in understanding AI applications across their markets, exploring a common taxonomy for evidence gathering and exchanging insights with international counterparts.
Financial institutions, including banks, insurers, asset managers and market infrastructure providers, interested in comparing AI applications, sharing implementation experience and contributing to a growing industry evidence base.
Selected industry and research leaders, including technology innovators, industry associations and academics who can contribute practical insights, evidence and expertise.

The Observatory is designed to evolve as more organisations use its taxonomy and contribute their experience.
For regulators, this may mean applying or adapting a shared framework to understand AI adoption within their jurisdiction. For financial institutions, it may mean contributing documented use cases and implementation evidence. For the wider ecosystem, it offers opportunities to support shared learning and research.
We look forward to welcoming you to Singapore and exploring how we can build a stronger collective understanding of AI in financial services.
Attendance is by invitation only. Registration is subject to host approval.
