Healthcare Construction & Activation Talk

​Activating a new healthcare facility is a unique experience for an organization that involves nearly every department across the organization. Success depends not only on planning within individual teams, but on connecting decisions, dependencies, and readiness activities across construction, IT, clinical, operational, and support functions requiring a cross-section of both learned and experience-based skills.

​Organizations enter this work with different internal resource capabilities, and this session will explore opportunities for building team models to approach activation work around three elements: leadership, infrastructure, and experience.

​Using a large academic medical center activation as a case study, activation leaders will share how organizations can build internal capability, create the critical cross-functional connections this work requires, and strategically use internal and external expertise to fill gaps and strengthen the team.
