​Talk 1. The Broader Impact of AI in the World Marihum Pernia

​Design is entering an agentic era. As AI shifts from "generate" to "plan + act," the design process stops being a linear pipeline and becomes a living system of delegation: humans, agents, tools, and institutions co-producing outcomes.

​This talk introduces agentic AI in accessible terms — what it is, why it changes the nature of work, and what's coming as agents move from copilots to operational actors. We'll explore how this transforms the designer's job: not only designing experiences, but designing coordination, verification, and governance — the interfaces where agency, trust, and accountability are negotiated.

​Marihum Pernia works at the intersection of strategic design, enterprise transformation, and AI. Over the past decade, they've led design and product strategy in European enterprises, most recently as Head of Product for AI Strategy at eFM. She also teaches AI-Powered Design at Politecnico di Milano and founded labcoexist, a research and education hub on AI literacy, ethics, and responsible deployment.

​Talk 2. How We Use AI in the Design Workflow at Qomodo Gabriele Morgan Pereira

​A candid look inside Qomodo's design process: what we built, why we built it, and what we've actually learned along the way. This talk is less about the tools and more about the shift in mindset — from designer as executor to designer as orchestrator.

​When AI takes over the repetitive and generative work, a new set of questions moves to the center: What do you decide? What do you delegate? And how do you maintain taste and quality when the output comes faster than your ability to evaluate it?

​We'll walk through the agents and workflows we rely on day-to-day, where they've made us faster, where they've introduced new failure modes, and what it's taken to build a process that actually holds up under real project pressure.

​Gabriele Morgan Pereira is UX Lead at Qomodo and a Product & Service Designer with over 10 years of experience building user-centric products across healthcare, education, and B2B/B2C tech. She has led cross-functional teams, navigated FDA-regulated environments, and scaled design systems in complex organizations. Born in Germany, raised in Brazil, and based in Italy, she brings a genuinely global perspective to product challenges — and to the question of what good design looks like when AI is doing more of the work.
