Dementia Friends Training

​Did you know, there are over 900,000 people living with dementia in the UK?

​Dementia Friends is an awareness raising initiative aimed at increasing people’s understanding of dementia and inspiring them to make little changes in their lives that make a difference for people affected by dementia.

​A Dementia Friends session is a 60-minute interactive session delivered by Julie Campbell, a trained Alzheimer’s Society volunteer.

​During the session, participants learn the five things we want everyone to know about dementia and explore simple ways they can make a difference.

​By the end of the session, they will be a Dementia Friend, and they’ll consider what they can do to support people affected by the condition.

​It could be as simple as helping someone to find the right bus, being patient, or raising awareness of dementia on social media.
