The Signal Room Live at LocWorld56
The Signal Room has spent a year collecting signals: what AI is doing to enterprise content, how buying behavior is shifting, where culture and language work keep colliding. Read as a set, they point somewhere uncomfortable for anyone whose job is translation. So this session skips the transition and asks the panel for the destination instead. What does localization look like in 2030? What disappears? Do we still call it localization?
The Signal Room is a biweekly podcast on AI and the future of global content, recorded by Centific's multilingual AI team with guests from across the industry. Recent episodes have argued that the segment economy is ending and that per-word pricing is unlikely to survive the decade. One episode went after translation memories as a growing liability. In March we recorded a live one at SXSW on the gap between AI-generated content and actual cultural context.
On Wednesday, October 21 we record the show live at LocWorld56 in Vancouver, a spotlight session in Ballroom A from 1:45 to 2:30pm. The panel is deliberately mixed: a CEO who is also a Fellow at Stanford HAI, a localization lead at a major consumer tech company, a founder who has built on both the vendor and the buyer side, and a multilingual AI strategist.
Chuen Hong Lew, CEO, Centific; Fellow, Stanford HAI
Jonas Ryberg, SVP Multilingual AI, Centific
Joaquin Munoz, Head of Localization, Life360
Wada'a Fahel, Founder and CEO, LocVerse
Expect specifics about what breaks first, and where they disagree about it.
Not going to be in Vancouver? Register here and we will send you the recording once it's published. Same offer if you are at LocWorld and want something to reference afterwards.
Registration for LocWorld56 itself is handled separately by the organizers.
