About Event

Ticket Messaging:

Leadership today often means supporting others through uncertainty while navigating uncertainty ourselves.

People teams and leaders are being asked to guide organisations through technological transformation, restructures, shifting expectations and increasing complexity, often with fewer resources and less certainty. Alongside the operational demands, many are carrying the emotional weight of supporting people through difficult experiences, delivering challenging messages and making decisions that can test personal values.

But what happens when the people supporting everyone else are also under sustained pressure?

Join us for a fireside chat with Renée Robson, founder of Trauma-Informed Yoga Australia and Trauma-Informed Leadership, as we explore what it means to become a nervous-system literate leader.

Together, we’ll explore:

✓ How sustained stress affects the brain, body and our ability to respond under pressure
✓ Why supporting and delivering organisational change can create hidden emotional impacts for leaders and people professionals
✓ Where traditional wellbeing approaches can miss the reality of people’s lived experience
✓ How nervous-system literacy can inform self-care, recovery, boundaries and more psychologically safe leadership practices

This is not a conversation about fixing people or adding another wellbeing initiative.

It is an opportunity to better understand what is happening beneath the surface and how greater awareness can help us make more informed choices about how we lead, support ourselves and create environments where people can participate fully.

You’ll leave with:

✓ A fresh perspective on mental health and wellbeing through the brain–body connection
✓ Greater awareness of how sustained pressure affects leaders and teams
✓ Practical reflections and tools to support recovery, boundaries and psychosocial safety

Renée Robson brings together two worlds that rarely get enough time together: nervous-system literacy and organisational leadership. With two decades of experience across leadership, HR and organisational learning, alongside trauma-informed Yoga and traumatic stress education, she explores what actually helps people feel safer, have more agency and contribute fully.

Her session at last year's Talentpalooza was a stand out with people blown away with their learning.

Come ready to listen, reflect and contribute.

This is a Think Tank - a conversation, not a lecture.

Commitment matters.

Think Tanks work because people don't just register. They turn up, contribute, ask questions and bring their experience into the room.

Because we're not here to create more HR content for you to consume.

We're here to make HR easier, together.

And when HR has more capacity, confidence and capability, we can do more than respond to work.

We can help shape it.

A few practical things
