Event Structure and Timeline
The HerCommerce Hackathon is designed as an intensive, hybrid sprint lasting one week.
The hackathon officially kicks off with five days of dedicated virtual development (October 20 – 24). During this initial, critical phase, teams will work remotely to finalize problem definition, develop their initial concept, and build the core prototype. Participants will benefit from online office hours, technical workshops, and virtual mentorship.
Teams will then converge for the final two days of in-person sessions (October 25 – 26) at the ALX Hub. This final phase is dedicated to intensive, face-to-face mentorship, final product polish, attending the Fireside Chat, and, most importantly, pitching their market-ready ideas to the judging panel.
Eligibility
This hackathon is open exclusively to female participants. We welcome individuals from all backgrounds including developers, designers, product managers, business analysts, and students whom are passionate about technology and entrepreneurship.
