​It was a huge success, so we're doing it again, this time on the West Coast, in Laguna Beach, CA on April 29. 

​Same format. Same host. And this one lands on a special night for the bottle.

​The venue is a private residence in the heart of downtown Laguna Beach — excellent location, steps from the water. We're starting at 6pm so you catch the sunset over the Pacific before the tasting kicks off.

​A guided tasting — and a historic night for the bottle 🥃

​Miguel Ortiz will lead a curated tasting of House of Rare expressions, covering how the best agave spirits are made, what separates them, and where the collector market is heading.

​But the real reason this date matters:

​Genesis bottle public launch — April 29 🍾 

​April 29 is the public launch day for the House of Rare Genesis PX — the debut bottle from their Genesis collection. Attendees will be among the first people in the world to taste it.

​What is it?

• ​750ml Extra Añejo, 100% pure agave, first distilled in 2023

• ​Aged three years in Buffalo Trace Bourbon casks — rich, caramel-forward

• ​Finished in extremely rare Pedro Ximénez (PX) Sherry casks — dried fruit, spice, layered sweetness

• ​You can purchase for $229.99 per bottle — sip it or flip it

​For context: House of Rare's Founders Cut originally retailed at $170, sold out in two days, and is already listing on the secondary market at $400. Previous releases have traded at 2–4x.

​Two people worth knowing.

​Miguel Ortiz — Founder, House of Rare. One of the most recognized figures in the world of rare agave spirits. He led the New York tasting and is making the trip down from LA for this one.

​Morgan Keim — Managing Partner, Ocean Ridge Capital. Altea's Orange County city captain and the person who made this event happen.
