When extraction lives within us: the roots of burnout
You keep pushing through exhaustion because the work feels too important to stop.
You have read the advice, tried the boundaries and the breaks, and the drain is still there.
Maybe the problem was never how well you were coping?
Burnout is a mirror of the dynamics, narratives, and systems of exploitation that are depleting you, the people around you, and life on our planet.
In this free session, we look at burnout through a regenerative lens: why it is more than a workload problem, where are its roots, and why so many people who care deeply about the world still burn out and experience chronic stress.
Underneath burnout sit layers of stories about worth, growth, progress, and success that keep us pushing until our vitality is gone.
In this session you can:
Explore why burnout is not a personal failure, and what it might be telling you.
Look at the stories behind how we live and work.
Start to see how those stories shape your own experience, and leave with a starting point for what to look at next.
Join Judit Sáez Gonzálvez from the Regenerators team for new ideas and an open conversation around the systemic reality of burnout and chronic stress. You will also hear about the new program Regenerative Pathways through Burnout, starting November 3, and have space to ask your questions.
Whether or not you decide to join the program, we hope you leave feeling a little lighter, and a little less alone.
This session will be recorded and shared with those who sign up.
See you on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, 4 to 5 pm CEST.
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Regenerative Pathways through Burnout is a 5-month online program to understand burnout and find other ways of working, for people who want to do meaningful work without letting it take everything from them.
This program is educational and community based, with option to include individual sessions. It's not therapy, and it does not offer crisis or clinical support. The next cohort runs from November 3, 2026 to April 13, 2027. This program is held in Regenerators and facilitated by Judit Sáez Gonzálvez.
