Sidequests - Harbourfront Walk
Most networking events suck.
This one is a walk.
No panels. No pitches. No standing in a circle with a warm drink, waiting for someone to talk to you.
We walk the Harbourfront for 90 minutes. Founders and operators, side by side. Conversation just happens when you are walking. Nobody has to force it.
This is Sidequests: the small, in-person stuff we run between the big events so this community actually knows each other.
It is also Ecom North week, so a lot of the ecom world is in Toronto. Good week to meet them properly.
The plan
4:30 PM: Ivy. Coffee Shop (109 Queens Quay W) Coffee, meet the group.
4:45 PM: The walk Easy, flat route along the water past Harbourfront Centre. Our walk guides rotate partners every few minutes and hand out conversation cards, so you actually meet people instead of just the person next to you.
5:10 PM: Sugar Beach Group photo by the lake.
5:30 PM: Distillery District We finish at a cafe in the old pump house. Stay and keep talking if you want. Everyone gets added to the EE WhatsApp group after, so the connections stick.

What to bring Comfortable shoes and a warm layer. Late October by the lake gets cold.
