David Hockney at IMBA
Update: Thanks for the interest. If we’re full, please join the waitlist. If a spot opens up, waitlisted attendees will be contacted .
In late May, UCL Culture Club will be heading to IMBA Theatre for David Hockney’s immersive exhibition, followed by an optional group lunch at Cafe Nesuto, Marina Bay Sands. There will be a casual prompt-based discussion for those joining lunch.
Hockney is one of the most recognisable British artists of the last century, known for his vivid colours, crisp visual language, and instantly identifiable style. This immersive exhibition should be an easy and enjoyable outing even for those who do not usually gravitate towards art events.
No art knowledge needed. This event is designed less as a traditional gallery visit and more as a small, relaxed culture-led social: we’ll see the exhibition together, then continue over optional lunch with light conversation prompts to help people meet and talk.
This will be a small group visit, with a mix of alumni from UCL, Columbia, UofT, Yale, and the Oxbridge Arts Group.

Registration
Previous Culture Club events have filled quickly, often with a substantial waitlist. Given the small group size, early registration is recommended.
Non-alumni guests should register separately, and may be accommodated if space allows, but priority will be given to alumni from participating schools, returning attendees, and those attending both the exhibition and lunch.
Please sign up only if you are reasonably sure you can attend, as places are limited and late dropouts make it harder to offer spots to others.
Selected participants will receive a payment request via WhatsApp. Registration and approval do not reserve a place. Your place is only confirmed once payment has been received and the organiser has confirmed your spot.
Repeated non-confirmation, late cancellations, significant lateness, or no-shows may affect priority for future events.
Questions? Contact the organiser, Elsie, via Luma.
