Rule Roulette - Game Jam

​Ever wondered what it'd be like to play a game that crosses hidden roles with spelling, or deck building and balancing pieces on top of each other? Now's your chance to find out!

Rule Roulette is a game jam about unlikely combinations. Each team will be randomly assigned two board game mechanics and have 3 hours to turn them into a game. The only rules are that your creation must be built around both mechanics and be playable in a 20 minute demo. At the end we'll all get a chance to play each other's games and vote for a winning team, who'll walk away with a free months membership for the Workshop!

No experience needed. If you've never designed a game before this is a fun, low stakes chance to give it a go! Each assigned mechanic will come with an explanation and some examples of how to apply it and we'll be there to give a helpful nudge if you need it. Come with a team or solo and we'll sort you out.

All prototyping materials will be provided. You can bring snacks and drinks in, and we have a small kitchen for tea/coffee.
