Shopping Without Shoppers, The Rise of Agentic Commerce

​We are pleased to invite you to a policy briefing hosted by Pascal Canfin, Member of the European Parliament, in partnership with Mirakl, on Tuesday, 14 October, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM, at the European Parliament in Brussels.

​Artificial intelligence is entering a new phase. No longer limited to supporting purchasing decisions, AI is beginning to make purchasing decisions itself. As AI agents become capable of searching, comparing, negotiating and purchasing products autonomously on behalf of consumers, a new paradigm is emerging: Agentic Commerce.

​This development has the potential to reshape European e-commerce, creating new opportunities for innovation, growth and improved consumer experiences. As Agentic Commerce evolves, it will be important to foster a policy environment that supports innovation while ensuring transparency, consumer trust and fair competition across the European e-commerce ecosystem.

​The briefing will feature keynote remarks from Pascal Canfin, Member of the European Parliament, and Anne-Claire Baschet, Chief Data & AI Officer at Mirakl, followed by a discussion bringing together Members of the European Parliament, representatives of the European institutions and public administrations, industry leaders, trade associations and technology experts to explore the opportunities and policy implications of Agentic Commerce.
