Sip Stories: Blends, Blends, Baby

​🍷 Join us for an evening of stories worth telling over wines worth sharing

​Sip Stories is a laid back and intimate tasting experience built around small scale Portuguese wines. Each session shares stories about the grapes, land and people behind what's in your glass. We keep the table deliberately small so there's room for real conversation (and second pours!).

​This session's theme: BLENDS!

​Most people will say single variety wines are better quality, but Portugal has the bottles to prove this wrong. We're spending the evening with wines blended from 2 to 20 grapes, and discovering why in Portugal, the blend isn't a compromise. It's the whole point.

​Your Host/What to expect

​Hi! I'm Valerie, ex-diplomat, accidental somm and full on wine nerd. I've worked harvest with tiny producers in Portugal, created wine lists for restaurants, and am now on a mission to build a community of wine curious people who prefer conversation over a masterclass. I'll be opening bottles you won't see in supermarkets, and we'll spend an evening finding out why we like what we like, how to describe it without being pretentious (I try at least) and appreciating the people and passion behind every bottle.

​Come for the wine, stay for the stories, and leave knowing a little bit more about what makes Portuguese wine the middle child of the wine world.
