First-generation professionals (FGP) navigate workplaces without a roadmap—and even skilled coaches can misread their behavior. In this interactive session, Michelle Y. Hoover shares frameworks from her forthcoming book "From First to Fearless" to help coaches understand who FGPs are, why they often hold back, and how their strengths get overlooked. You'll leave with a clearer picture of the FGP experience and practical tools to coach these clients more effectively. Open to coaches of all backgrounds.

Michelle Y. Hoover is a leadership consultant, executive coach, founder of Baem Leadership, and a leading voice on first-generation professionals (FGPs). Drawing on her own FGP experience and two decades across global corporations, law firms, and universities, she's delivered programs to 75,000+ leaders across five continents. She is the author of the forthcoming book From First to Fearless.
