The Open Spoon
The Open Spoon is a full moon potluck of local food, stories, and nature. Bring a story, food, a helping hand, or your positive energy - everyone brings something to the table.
THEME: Community
In May, roots deepen and the first abundance blooms. May is known as the flower moon, this is a time when what’s been growing beneath the surface starts to fully blossom.
May’s first full moon focuses on Community as we celebrate the relationships and networks that allow us to flourish. Bring a dish or story inspired by your own interpretation of the theme, or visit a local farm store to see what’s in season around you. Our feature dish will highlight mushrooms, nature's reminder that everything is connected and we all rely on each other.
DRINKS: Hot water and tea bags will be provided as a moon brew, and you're welcome to bring other tea or drinks if you want.
Attendance is free but in the spirit of cultivating a mindset of reciprocity, we encourage everyone to bring something to the table, whether it is a story, food, helping set up or clean up, or your kind supportive energy to show interest in others and help make everyone feel welcomed and appreciated.
