About Event
Got a bold idea? Pitch it. Fed up with something? Vent about it.
Roses or Thorns is a casual, high-energy evening where attendees can take the mic to either pitch a solution or vent about a problem — or both (vent first, pitch second).
Topics don’t have to be WISE-related or even serious. For example, you could pitch your favorite trend in sustainable investing, vent about why America’s car culture is isolating us, or pitch why rice is objectively the best carb.
Each presenter would get a short time slot to deliver their take, followed by a Q&A or crowd reaction. While we would line up some speakers, there would also be an open mic portion at the end to invite anyone to jump in spontaneously.
