Nature as Refuge: Awakening Joy, Wonder & Hope
The natural world has always known how to restore us. In times of uncertainty and overwhelm, nature offers something our nervous systems deeply need — ground, beauty, belonging, and the quiet revelation that life is still happening all around us.
In this immersive 2.5-hour online workshop, we'll use guided nature meditation, somatic practice, and elemental awareness to open ourselves to genuine joy, wonder, and hope — not as bypasses for what is hard, but as practices that help us remain present and alive to the fullness of the world.
You don't need to be anywhere special. A window, a plant, a patch of sky, or a handful of soil is enough.
What we'll explore
Grounding and arrival — settling into your body and your place
Sensory awakening — opening to the living world wherever you are
Working with the elements as teachers and medicine
Holding all our emotions with compassion
Opening to wonder — practices for the full spectrum of feeling
Deeply guided nature meditation for restoration and hope
Closing circle — integration and shared reflection
Who this is for
Those longing for deeper connection — to the earth, to themselves, to something larger
Anyone carrying climate or social grief who needs practices that truly restore
Awake in the Wild participants who want to go deeper
Practitioners, teachers, and caregivers who give a lot and need nourishment
Anyone ready to feel more alive
No prior meditation experience required. A willingness to be present is all you need.
Logistics & accessibility:
For the richest experience, consider stepping outside with headphones or earbuds — let the living world be your backdrop as we practice together. A park, a garden, a balcony, a patch of grass, even an open window will do. When we come together to share and close, cameras on are a welcome way to connect.
A full recording of the session will be shared with all registered participants, available for 30 days.
