3 Decisions That Can Change Your Tax Bill Before December 31
A free tax workshop for business owners in Phoenix. Any industry, any size.
Some of what decides your 2026 tax bill has to happen before December 31. Some of it you'll still decide months later, when you file. The line between those two isn't where most people think it is.
That's what this hour is about: three decisions, and which of them actually have a deadline.
ONE HOUR, THREE DECISIONS
The equipment, and the date that actually matters
Which year your income and expenses land: the invoice you send in December, the bill you pay now or in January
The retirement plan, and what its real deadline is
All three set the same number: your 20% deduction, the one your return calls qualified business income, or QBI.
You'll leave knowing which of the three you still have time to act on, and which ones you've already decided without realizing it.
IF THIS IS YOU You own a business. There's equipment on the books, a payroll to make, and a tax bill that keeps landing bigger than you planned for.
A lot of my practice is construction, so some of my examples come off a job site. The three decisions don't care what you do. Contractors, shops, clinics, agencies, restaurants: if there's equipment and a payroll, they're yours too.
You don't need a banner year for this to matter. Whether 2026 was your best one yet or a year you spent building, the same three decisions are on your desk.
Bring a real situation. That's the best use of the hour.
