About Event

ClimaTech Innovation is accelerating—and with it, the demand for skilled talent. As Massachusetts races to maintain its leadership in this high-growth sector, developing a workforce ready for next-generation clean energy, manufacturing, and infrastructure is essential.

Hosted by MA Business Roundtable, facilitated by JD Chesloff, this executive roundtable will convene industry, education, and workforce leaders to identify the challenges and opportunities in building an equitable talent pipeline: how to train, retain, and advance workers statewide as the climatetech economy expands and diversifies.

We’re also pleased to welcome Lauren Jones, Secretary of Labor and Workforce Development as a special guest and co-facilitator, bringing critical state leadership and perspective to the conversation.

Held under the Chatham House Rule, the discussion will:

  • Align workforce and industry needs: Bring together corporate, education, and workforce leaders to identify key challenges and opportunities in developing a skilled, equitable climatetech talent pipeline across Massachusetts.

  • Share real-world insights: Hear directly from climatetech founders on workforce planning and the alignment of talent strategies with technology, product, and business growth.

  • Foster collaboration: Explore public–private partnerships to advance pilots, internships, and work-based learning that expand access and strengthen regional talent networks.

  • Shape a shared vision: Define the critical skills, partnerships, and systemic changes required to sustain Massachusetts’s leadership in clean energy, manufacturing, and infrastructure.

  • Establish actionable next steps: Develop clear commitments and coordinated actions among employers, educators, and community partners to enhance training alignment and equitable workforce development.

*Space is limited. RSVPs are required by Friday, April 24th at 5:00 PM EST.
