When Life Doesn’t Go According to Plan
When Life Doesn’t Go According to Plan
Sabr, Tawakkul, & Knowing What's Your's to Carry
🌍A free virtual community session led by Siciida Ibrahim
🌿 Ruh is excited to begin a new monthly webinar series, creating a space to come together each month to explore different themes around mental health, emotional wellbeing, and faith.
Our first session falls on World Mental Health Day, October 10, and offers an opportunity to reflect on what happens when life doesn’t unfold the way we planned.
Sometimes, life takes us somewhere we never expected to go. A plan falls apart, a door closes, or something we hoped for doesn’t unfold the way we imagined. In those moments, it can be difficult to know what to hold onto, what to let go of, and how to keep moving forward.
How do we find peace in what we cannot control? How do we hold onto sabr and tawakkul while allowing ourselves to feel, grieve, and hope? And how can we find strength in struggles we never expected?
✨ About the Event
When Life Doesn’t Go According to Plan invites us to explore sabr, tawakkul, and knowing what is ours to carry. Together, we’ll reflect on what is within our control and what is not, how we can find strength in the midst of life’s struggles, and what it means to make peace with what we cannot control while continuing to care, hope, and move forward.
Drawing from psychological perspectives and practical tools, this session will explore how we can shift the way we think about difficult circumstances, identify what is within our control, take meaningful action where we can, and learn to let go of what is beyond our control.
Together, we’ll consider how these perspectives can help us navigate life’s unexpected turns with greater clarity, resilience, and trust in Allah.
