About Event

Closing the Black maternal health gap could add $25 billion to the U.S. economy. -McKinsey & Co.

The figure is staggering. The opportunity is even greater.

This August, on Martha’s Vineyard, a select gathering of investors, chief executives, founders, cultural leaders, and influential voices will come together for WORTH, an intimate soirée centered on one of the most consequential questions of our time:

What becomes possible when Black maternal health receives the attention, influence, and capital it deserves?

You are being invited because of the decisions you make, the institutions you shape, and the influence you carry into rooms where the future is determined.

Set against the beauty of the island, WORTH will bring together film, provocative conversation, considered hospitality, and a carefully composed guest list. The afternoon will feature select clips from the acclaimed PBS documentary Listen to Me, followed by an intimate conversation exploring the human and economic imperative of investing in Black maternal health.

Ahead of the gathering, we encourage you to watch the film in full. Its stories offer essential context for the conversation we will continue together on Martha’s Vineyard.

This is more than a gathering. It is a private room of people with the capacity to move an issue from urgent to unavoidable, and from historically underfunded to worthy of meaningful investment.

Following the program, the afternoon will transition into an elevated island celebration with music, cocktails, beautiful hospitality, and a room designed for connection.

WORTH is convened by Nuuma in collaboration with McKinsey & Company,
