RALLY TO SUPPORT THE AFFORDABLE HOUSING TRUST FUND
Join City leaders and Affordable Housing advocates on the steps of San Francisco City Hall for a rally and press conference to support the expansion and renewal of the Housing Trust Fund!
On Tuesday, Supervisor Melgar will be introducing a Charter Amendment for the November 2026 ballot to expand and extend the Housing Trust Fund to support preservation and production of much-needed affordable housing. The Housing Trust Fund will capture a portion of the City's property value growth over time and reach $125 million; after which the fund will grow with the discretionary budget. This funding is projected to reach $3 billion of future investments over time and will unlock thousands of new units of affordable housing; preserve hundreds of existing rental-control units; and support first-time homeowners.
